Motorized or electric blinds<\/strong> are the futuristic versions of blinds. Powered by a motor, it seldom needs any manual or physical input like in the olden days of yore. The first and most prevalent issue is when the remote control malfunctions or does not work. The remote may not work properly for many reasons but more often than not the culprit is the internal electrics. Probably, the batteries are worn out and your remote needs a new pair. So you could check the batteries first before you try anything else. Ensure the blinds are correctly plugged in and replace the batteries. You can ask the manufacturer of your blinds to get you a service manual which should provide you with detailed information about removing and replacing the broken motor<\/p>\n\n\n\n

B) Get a Professional<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Though this could cost you a bit more, the work will be a high-quality one, lowering the chances of the same repeating in the future. Also, working with a professional is a great safety valve against the chances of electrocution, electrical fire, or other such accidents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you have to purchase a new motor for your blinds, ensure that you are getting the correct one for your particular blinds as motors vary. You can also get the exact replacement from your manufacturer so a good idea will be to hit them up first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Blinds Are Moving but the Slats Are Broken<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With vertical or Venetian blinds, over time the slats become loose or are broken. Though a little uncommon in motor-powered blinds due to the lack of physical interaction, slats could still come undone. This is more the case in homes with kids or pets who like to fiddle around with cordless, automated blinds. However, replacing slats even in electric blinds is not a very difficult thing; you can simply unclip the slats that are broken or damaged and replace them with brand-new slats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
